Just thinking about Euro's where can I find info

  • I think DBStrader is big into the Euro's he maybe able to help... I would be warry of paying high prices for registry Euros, but then
I am not into the registery thing anyway. I buy tough varietes in slabs for confidence (mostly U.S. image) and have had some slabbed mostly
GB for preservation and verification of grades....

Here's a Euro link - don't know if it has what you want but you can take a look.

Now we're going to have all these Registry hotshots asking what the latest "greysheet" prices are for MS-69 Euros. image

Hey, it'll be just like the set registry forum, where every other thread is "Whoopee! I made a pop 1 MS69!" or "Who wants to give me $10,000 for my pop 1 Austria 2 euro?" imageimage

This is your universal price guide to all euros. It doesn't include "patterns", but that aside, it's pretty comprehensive image
  • When I was in Germany last spring I got bunches of information on the Euro's from Germany. Alot of it has to do with how the Euro was going to change the spending of people and companies. Also I have the book issued that show the orginal minting of euros for each of the original countries... ie quanity pictures of each the minting branches if any and all other types of information. Ill bet not many if anybody has the books I brought back with me.

Now the kicker its all in German so i only understand about every 3rd or 4th word

  • Hi folks,

I had a passing interest in the Euro coins tonight, and just wanted to say that this thread provided me with all the info that I could have hoped for regarding them. Thanks folks!

Out of curiosity how are people collecting them on average? By country, denomination, year?

I just came across this thread, where I saw my name taken in vain!image

From what I've seen posted already, I think a LOT better info has already been provided than I could. I'm strictly trying to put together a 1-per-denomination-per-year-per-country set for the standard Euro countries from 1999-2002, with a couple dozen holes left. Looking for nice coins, but circulated or better -- I'm definitely NOT up there with the big boys going after proof sets and the like.

But I'm always up for a good trade with any fellow collectors! See my list of extras in my tagline!
