So what's the next set to discuss? T205?

I don't think we're done with the "T" cards yet...

  • Just a suggestion ....

Let's mix it up a bit. While I read the previous threads and actually learned a lot about these sets that I someday hope to start, it really doesn't benefit a majority of the collectors here if we only talk about Tobacco cards. Throw in a 60's Topps set, a '70s oddball issue (those discs are getting popular), or even a non-sport set.

I enjoy reading the threads regardless, but I think it may alienate a lot of collectors if we just go in order starting with the tobacco cards.

I agree. I enjoyed the previous threads so much that I just wanted to
get this started again. So what's next??

How about the greatest of all postwar sets--1952 Topps?
  • Was it true about the 1952 Topps cards that a large amount were dumped into the ocean by Topps because of poor sales?

  • BOOOOOOOO. I think we should have a thread about T-205s. I could post my comments on the set and everyone could then send me any T-205s they have in thier collection as a "Gift."

Yeah, thats the kind of thread I want!

I vote for mixing it around a bit, maybe who ever starts off the topic could link the previous set discussions at the bottom of their post, in case anyone has anything to add on those.

Does anyone know what Gus Zernial was smoking when he shot his '52 Topps card? Pink Tshirt, ok sign, and taped baseballs on his bat? And has he ever commented on it? It seems like the only intentional goofy shot that Topps let thru, but I've never heard any comments from anyone involved.

Always looking for Topps Salesman Samples, pre '51 unopened packs, E90-2, E91a, N690 Kalamazoo Bats, and T204 Square Frame Ramly's
