Autographed ball value question

I have an old autographed Carl Yastrzemski ball from the early 70's, was given to my mother who was a teacher and taught Yaz's kids. Any idea as to value? I noticed a big spread on ebay's past auctions (one sold for $158; and another didn't even receive a bid at $35 ). Why the big spread? What factors make one autographed ball more valuable than another? Any help would be appreciated.

Get it authenticated before/if you sell.

Thanks, obviously no coa with this ball. Are there people who will authenticate? If so, how much does it usually cost? Thanks in advance.

PSA/DNA is a great way to get it authenticated - no sure of price(s) though.

It'll probably be less than $50 to have it done I had a Babe Ruth and a Ted williams done the Ruth was $250 and the Williams was $75 so I think you can get it done around $50
