I was just curious. I noticed 1981S PCGS MS66 SBA DOLLAR POP 73/0 TOUGH! on eBay. The PCGS coin price guide lists this one at a mere $98. Why is the opening bid $628?

PCGS price guide is far too low for that coin.

$628 is probably too high, but the example in the auction looks impressively clean from the photos. Maybe a touch of strike weakness though.

I don't think it would upgrade because of marking and strike but have to
believe this is among the cleanest of all '81-S's.
