  • Will they sell them in the 3 & 6 coin sets?

i'm rather anxious for this one and the Lewis and Clarke/Jefferson Nickel change. as long as the Mint tries to keep the modern commem's to 1-2 well thought/designed programs per year, they should be OK. they should offer these in 3-coin sets, don't you think? perhaps they just haven't finalized that yet. it adds some collector appeal to the gold and set due to the $10 denomination, a change from the standard $5.

now, about a total redesign of circulating coinage..........................image

Those are the pre-issue prices thru 9/26, then the gold goes up $25, $4 for the $1 proof, $2 for the the business strike and a $1 for the others

The U.S. Mint only listed the single coins I posted above. There were no sets listed.

The Wright Brothers in the only commemmorative produced this year. The Commemorative Coins for 2004 are the Thomas Alva Edison Commemorative Coin and the Lewis and Clark Expedition Commemorative Coin.

The last ten dollar commerative, the 1984 Olympic ten dollar gold coin I think went for 325. They're only minting 100,000, will it keep the value around what the cost is, or will the value go down like most of the other gold commeratives?

Only by name are you the airplane nut of the boards. image Question: Have you ever driven 11 hours one way just to see a plane fly for 20 minutes then drive back home? I did.

    Better make that a two-person give-away.

Yes it was. It was the Glacier Girl - the P-38 F model that they dug out of the Greenland ice. There have been severqal posts about it. I was there with about 28-30,000 other people. Since it was the first flight and the only P-38 F model, I had to be there. Well, I didn't HAVE to be there, I WANTED to be there. I'm so glad that I did.

Too bad the "first flight" was actually by a man names Rousch and occured in Southern Illinois in 1901. Too bad he didn't have a camera man like the Wrights two years later.

I don't think I've been in the driver's seat for more than 11 hours yet, and I can't drag my parents that long (do you know how long it took me to persuade them to get me to Baltimore???)

But I'll match you, and up you! image

Have you ever ridden an airport monorail for 3 straight hours just to watch the planes, listening to the announcer's computer voice mispronounce each airline every time you approach a terminal?

Have you been in trouble with local police for photographing planes? Ever been almost deported for your airplane nutty actions while onboard an aircraft? (It's a long story [Madrid-London], and my criminal record, as of late, is still clear image)

    Jeremy... HA!

  • Does anyone know when the pre-orders will start? I have been kind of out of the coin world for some time. I just got from a 4 month deployment chasing drug dealers around South America. It's good to be back!!
