Poor Lincoln!

My father found this 1909 Lincoln Cent in his pocket change a couple weeks ago. The condition is horrible! If it had been in any kind of condition, it would have been a welcome addition to the collection.

  • Send that one to ANACS. It would be interesting what that one would net. Shouldn't they deserve a reverse grading system for this coin, like a negative 4? P01 doesn't give it justice.

I would bet that for years someone was holding that in their collection and then finally realized just what they were holding, and released in into circ as pocket change. I would put it back into circ (as I have many times with some really poor coins) and maybe some youngster will find it and light that spark.imageimage

At the Summer Seminar I tried to persuade an ANACS grader to grade a negative... he said no image
