Check out this item, 2741178495 , sorry I do not know how to put up a link. Item is"

"1969 Graded Topps Misc Football Cards"
There are no less then 4- PSA 10's and I only checked 2 of the PSA 9's in this lot but there are ZERO'S in all those columns on the pop report!! I sent this loser a note asking to get some certification #'s or a scan. Would love to see if he responds. Am I missing something here or is this just a blatant scam!
If it's worth doing..It's worth overdoing!!

  • I am not vouching for the seller .. However it takes PSA about 2 to 3 weeks to add cards to the POP report after they are graded . SO if these were freshly graded they may not be showing up yet in the POP report.....

wait, so he goes through the trouble of making up a bunch of fake psa grades then doesnt even include the word "psa" in the auction title? we have ourselves not only a scam artist, but an idiot scam artist!
  • There have been several occasions when after I get my grades from PSA , they are almost instantly in the POP Report. There are only 2 PSA 10's ever received in this set out of over 9400 graded, and this guy just got 4 in the same submission as he has PSA 4's , your right Good Riddance, he's a idiot as well.

  • I didnt count them, but there must be about 80 graded cards there.

He's only charging $3 for postage? That seems extremely low to me.

They have the last day the report is updated on the site. Usually a couple of days behind.

The pop report is a couple days behind but the player search on the pop report is updated instantly (from what I've seen so far). Try using that.

I can't figure this one out. If you were out to hose someone, wouldn't you at least make your Sayers a 9? Or throw in a few more stars? This whole thing is a head scratcher.
  • i emailed him mocking him for his general stupidity....still no reply
  • I emailed him yesterday asking for serial #'s and/or scans and have received nothing back yet.

    I wouldn't bid on this.

There have been numerous cases where people who are either very new, or very stupid, or both, include the "PSA" keyword along with an "estimated" grade, without bothering to tell people what they are doing.

So it's possible that this guy is just mentally deficient, either permanently or temporarily.

This may not be a scam since he also mentions so many poorly graded cards. With that being said, I'm not a Paypal know-it-all, but this guy takes Paypal, and IF he is verified (which I'm not sure he is) you can bid on the auction and win it and hope that he's a grossly incompetent seller and pay with Paypal and use the Buyer Protection feature. The most you can loose is 3 or 4% which may be a good gamble since it's at $103.50 right now. But I believe he has to be verified for the insurance coverage to work. If anyone knows exactly how Paypal works I'd be interested in knowing. The other way to gamble to win it for a price within eBay's insurance coverage and pay him with a postal money order. If it's a scam you can file an insurance claim through eBay and will be out of the deductible ($25). Just my 2 cents.
  • Has anyone else tried to email him? I have emailed him twice and gotten no response. Anyone else?

I'm betting Brucemo is right. It's probably just some guy who doesn't know anything about graded cards, and thinks his opinion is equal to PSA's, so it's no big deal that they're not graded by PSA yet.
