I did that on the last one. As I have told people, that tactic isn't working with eBay anymore. I got an email from them saying if I did it again, I would get NARU'ed.
At this point Russ, I'm not counting on much help from eBay unless I get an attorney involved. My last group of auctions I had to close early. Here is one of the auction's bid history. I reported this bogus account with bogus contact info to eBay and got this response from eBay this morning:
Thank you for providing us with the details about this situation regarding artifical_toner_coindocphd.
We are concerned about violations on the site and have thoroughly investigated your report. In accordance with our site policies, we have found that there is not enough evidence to show that a violation has taken place. We understand your concern about this situation, and can reopen the investigation if any additional information can be provided.
As you may know, we are unable to provide specific information regarding the result of our investigation to third party members. Please understand that this is for the protection of all eBay users.
This feedback clearly has nothing to do with the auction and should be removed as the bidder clearly only bid to harass the seller by leaving negative feedback.
These people aren't very smart. I just got off the phone with a former associate of Alan Hager's, and ran the address by him of where I sent the coin. The address belongs to Clayton Spencer, the current flunkie for AH Collectibles auctions. Lawsuit time.
<< <i>These people aren't very smart. I just got off the phone with a former associate of Alan Hager's, and ran the address by him of where I sent the coin. The address belongs to Clayton Spencer, the current flunkie for AH Collectibles auctions. Lawsuit time. >>
He may have to sue to have the neg removed. The below was part of the auto reply I got back from eBay:
- Third, please note that we cannot remove feedback that is retaliatory, libelous, defamatory, untrue, unwarranted, or otherwise unfair unless we receive documentation for removal from a court of law or certified dispute resolution service. eBay provides the Feedback Forum and boards as places where users can express their opinions. Opinions cannot be censored and remarks will not be investigated for accuracy. Each individual member is solely responsible for the opinions placed in the Feedback Forum.
<< <i>man the smell eminateing from this wreeks.. >>
You got that right. What is so ironic here is they are attempting to destroy my part time business selling honestly graded coins in retaliation for me exposing the fact that they market fraudulently graded garbage. Unfortunately for them, they don't realize that most of my nice coins sell before even having to go on eBay. Ebay is the only place they can sell their garbage. No one was buying from them in Charlotte.
Yes it is. The problem here is that he is an employee of Hager's, and has a different address registered. I can almost tell you what eBay's reply will be in regards to the shilling activity. "We can find no evidence".... blah blah blah.
<< <i>Here is the third one I was expecting. Obviously these people monitor this site as well as RCC. #3 >>
You've got a strong, serious case against this fraudulent feedback. I hope you take the energy that'll be necessary to reach the eventual, positive conclusion. These people are messing with a part of your livelihood and thus messing, indirectly with your family. Feel the rage that'll motivate you to get these scroates off of eBay and out of your life.
-I've got a couple of ideas if you would like to PM me.
K6az im not anyone important but enough of us get together we can pull off anything legaly. I cant tolerate this kinds business practice...their very business and likelihood is at stake due to your website..but the website spews nothing but the truth..hence arnt their anypeople out there but us that see the problem here.

You might want to share your information about your "friends" in Florida with the Orlando Sentinel newspaper and/or some of the TV stations down there. EBay fraud is a hot topic right now in the news, especially during sweeps.
DAMN! Hate to hear about the slam. Funny how ACG & Hager threaten lawsuits but use practices which could result in a suit against them which might possibly put them out of business. You might end up being known as "the man that shut down ACG."
Yep, like I said in your last negative feedback thread you are starting to look like a seller to avoid if I didn't know you. 5/504 is getting on up there. BS or not, that many negatives hurt.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
I don't know Dog, at this point it is backfiring on them. I have sold several coins in the last couple of hours. And I have run across sellers who had a lot of BS negatives, which were clearly easy to see. This last one puts the icing on it, anyone with half a brain can see what is going on.
K6AZ, are you a member of the ANA? Since this Clayton Spencer person is obviously bidding on your auctions for the intent purpose of negging you, and since this same Clayton Spencer person is the "Head of Sales" for ACG-Accugrade, and since ACG-Accugrade obviously has a beef against you for testifying against them at the ANA hearing, then I think you have a fairly strong case to bring against them in an ANA complaint. If I were you, I would not let this thing go... its the principle of the matter. Good luck!
Yes, you - Anaconda! Pick up the PM and file an illegal constraint of trade and conspiracy to commit whatever to help a fellow forum member out! Put that degree to good use!
Ebay's anticipated lame excuses (based on their past inaction) for not getting rid of such blatantly off topic feedback is outrageous. Their feedback system needs to be cleaned-up as it invites blackmailers in its present form. (As an ebay stockholder with a five figure dollar investment in the company, I am especially disgusted with such conduct as it is not in the best interest of us shareholders either.)
I wonder if a buyer with excellent feedback could sue Ebay if they refused to remove a malicious negative remark with no merit? A seller works hard to build a good reputation only to have it drug through the mud by unscrupulous buyers. Seems to me they would have a good case.

Happens all the time. In fact, you don't need to get a court order. Once eBay gets a letter from your attorney threatening legal action, they mysteriously modify their feedback removal policy.
On ruining a seller's good name, mine has. I don't dare try to sell on eBay now. I am going to run through the five negatives on my feedback starting with the first one left in December 2001:
#1- Retaliatory negative from a NPB. Bid on and won an 1885-O NGC MS64 Morgan for $35. Never paid.
#2- Retaliatory negative from a NPB. Bid on and won an 1887-O NGC MS63 Morgan for $75. Never paid.
#3- Bogus negative placed after asking for and receiving feedback from me. Bought a raw 84-O Morgan MS63 for $24.77.
#4- Bogus negative placed after asking for and receiving feedback from me. Bought two toned NGC MS63 Morgans, claimed he cracked them out, sent them back to NGC, and that they came back "recolored".
#5- Bogus negative placed after asking for and receiving feedback from me. Where this came from is pretty obvious from the feedback itself.
Wow, I'm having a hard time believing that Clayton Spencer is that STUPID. Does anyone have a direct Email address for Mr. Spencer? Although he may have read this thread already, he needs to be told the jig is up!
Andy
We are finite beings, limited in all our powers, and, hence, our conclusions are not only relative, but they should ever be held subject to correction. Positive assurance is unattainable. The dogmatist is the only one who claims to possess absolute certainty.
Interesting. Everytime I said the negs looked bad you said any idiot could see right through them. The only time I ever got ripped off on eBay was from a seller with a few recent negs that I thought were BS negs. But against my better judgement I bid and got my coin so I said yeah yeah he's ok after all so I bid on another coin and that's when I got shanked. Within a month he had picked up about 100 negs and was NARUed. That's why I said I avoid low feedback sellers with a run of recent negs. It's too easy to find sellers with 1,000+ good feedbacks and no negs where I don't have to sort through all the bs.
Change that we can believe in is that change which is 90% silver.
Dog, this is now the third time you have made this statement in response to what you know for a fact are BS negatives. But, you conveniently neglect to point that out. Yeah, boy if I didn't know the seller and saw this I would think it was a legitimate negative:
Complaint : Red Devil Website exudes such hatred, reap what you sow, super crappy coins Response by k6az - This current employee of ACG bid on my auction soley to post negative feedback. Follow-up by thesourceforu - You been attacking ACG for 3 years, what does that have to do with selling junk
Eric, Dog has a point... you and I and virtually all the people here know that these are BS Negs, the ACG situation, etc., but there are a far greater number of people that don't, and it's reaching the people you'd never know or reach otherwise that makes eBay a worthwhile sales venue. If one potential new bidder for your coins drops out because he doesn't know the feedback is BS, you're hurt because of it, and, regretfully, I believe the number would be higher than that.
I also want to comment on your endeavors against ACG. I had heard that the principals all dropped out of the ANA and if that's a fact, it means that we will not have to hear the sound of the AGC ultrasonic welder sealing crap on the ANA Bourse as long as they stay non-members. That in itself is a great boon to both the collecting community and the ANA, and you are to be commended!!! (three cheers while bowing in your direction)!!!
Listen to what Dog is saying - it IS hurting you. It is affecting your livelyhood. It is costing you sales. You are being damaged economically thru the illegal actions of this individual.

Your feedback has nothing to do with a legitmate auction you bid on and won.
K6AZ's website has nothing but the truth on it with legal documents to back it up.
What is your connection with the Hagers and AGC? Or are you afraid to let the world
know as I see you hide behind private feedback.
