I have received another ebay scam email.I want to post it here but I'm not having any luck.I haven't been able to post any coin images either.can someone more computer literate than me help?

Just highlight the entire text of the email, right click and hit copy. Right click again when you go to post and hit paste. That's it.

Thanks, Two Dogs.Now I know something I didn't know 10 minutes ago. This email also had the complete ebay logo in color but it didn't paste. Anyway after contacting ebay at ebayspoof.com they assured me that this email is bogus.So everybody beware!! Dave Weygant

Anything html related won't show here when you paste it.

As far as images go, you can post an attachment. Or if you have a site where an image is stored, you click on the picture frame in the tool bar next to the U and when the box comes up, you enter the image URL.

I have received this also TWICE. One yesterday and one about a week ago.

I guess some must get fooled as the perps keep doing it.

WHat is really scary is suppose some hijacks your ebay account [with lots of + feedback] and then starts selling bogus coins and collects money?!! Didn't Legend have their account taken over last month?

eBay has really done little to prevent this type of activity. Maybe a major case with lawsuit will wake them up?

Just how do you suggest they prevent it? Someone send people an e-mail out of the blue asking them for their confidential information (which is something no legitamite company would do.) and the people happily give it to them. Then the crooks use the information. How is e-Bay supposed to know that the person entering valid information is not the right person?

I'm sure some ebay employees who shop online get this scam email. So ebay sets up a phony account, tells the employee to enter in this account number. When the crook starts posting the ebay employee can purchase a few items and pay for them, with money orders if posible and through the mail. Seems that working with the FBI they could nail them for mail fraud.
I must be missing something here or ebay woulda done it.

In the first line of the email you have the word "couldn't." When would a large, very legally organised company use the word "couldn't" ? SMELL OF A RAT IN THE FIRST LINE...

UPDATE! found out the scam is still going on - the scammers are constantly changing servers to avoid getting cuaght. buddy got the scam-mail today, & the link was to a new server address

Duncan has a very valid approach.

An email of this type sent out by an organization like Ebay would be proofread dozens of times (literally!) before being sent.

If you receive any email from any large, Ebay-size corporation that contains so much as a space out of place, or even slightly "off" grammar, be very suspicious! And he's right - no way a contraction will appear!
