How strong or weak is your will power?

I think I am in the middle of the road.
I am talking about the temptation to fill in those holes in your Dansco or Eagle albums NOW, TODAY!
Those empty holes seem so lonely and incomplete, don't you think? Just feel like you have to complete the set today, knowing that there are plenty of coins out there to go around. Stupid, I know.
Let's see, I have 9 holes left to fill in, out of 98, then I'll take a breather from buying for a while.

I have the willpower of a third grader!
    Matt
  • My name is Jim....... And Im a "collector"

If it sounds like an intro at an "AA" meeting, you're right............

    Collecting is a disease...........

I've been doing it for almost 40 years now..........

    Heard the hype

    Seen the tripe............

Filled more than my share of albums.............

Had "HFS" (Hole filling syndrome) diagnosed at an early age............

I still have it, but I've found a way to control it............

NOW........ I put each series in 2 X 2's.......... and put them 20 to a page....... Put the pages in a 1 1/2 inch binder......... Dont leave any "holes......

nothing looks empty........... Once a month or so, I take my newps and reorder wherever necessary.......

I have found that "FOR ME"..... I get more enjoyment this way, appreciating what I have, rather than opening an album and seeing whats "not there"..........

Once upon a time, the saying was....... "HE WHO DIES WITH THTE MOST TOYS........ WINS"

Now, I just "Go with the flow" !!!!!!1

    Cam-Slam 2-6-04
    3 "DAMMIT BOYS"
    4 "YOU SUCKS"
Numerous POTD (But NONE officially recognized)

........and the only thing left to do when you fill out a set is to start something else!! let's face it, if you're a true dyed-in-the-wool collector, there is no such thing as a breather, just more empty holes to fill.
