So here it is -- 3 prizes, 3 different contests, first to post the right answer wins. You may only enter 1 contest, so choose which you want. Good-luck, sorry about the lousy pics! Oh, by the way, only 1 guess per person.

Contest 1

Prize -- 1923 raw MS62/63 toned Peace $

Question --- Name at least 3 italian-american coin designers and the coins they designed

Prize -- 2 raw toned silver Canadian Halves 1963 & 1966

Question --- Whoever makes it, tells it not. Whoever takes it, knows it not. And whoever knows it wants it not.

Question -- What gold coin has a mountain on it? Who was the mountain named after? And what town was that person born in?

    For #3, Both the $10 and $20 1860 gold pieces issued by Clark, Gruber & Co (see p. 660 of Breen's Encyclopedia); Pikes Peak is the mountain, and Denver for the town(?)

    hey, #2 is actually a statement. but the answer would be an Artificially Toned coin and the make it part would be "into a PCGS Holder" i suspect.

    I don't think #2 could be either counterfeit or artificial toned coins - at least I have wanted some and have known what they pretended to be.

    Thanks everyone for playing! But we do have three winners. I hope it was a little challenging.
    Here are the correct answers and the respective winners ---

    Question 1 Name at least 3 italian-american coin designers and the coins they designed

    Of course, the first is Anthony de Francisci with the Peace dollar and Maine centennial half. His wife's name was Teresa (the poser for the portrait)

    Frank Gasparro with the Ike and SBA dollar, Lincoln Memorial reverse on Cent and reverse of the Kennedy Half

    Pompeo Coppini, who designed the Texas Independence Centennial half dollar

    Winner ---- Neil, he's the one with the most complete answer!

    It is counterfeit money.

    Winner -- littlewicher BUT since rd5425 came up with a better answer I like more, I'm going to send him a toned Canadian Halve as well.
