Although I hate to admit it..... Heritage. You can trace almost any coin going thru a Heritage auction at one time or another. ( I said almost, not all)
12 years ago the answer was a NY City auction with either B&M or Stacks. Today, NY City has lost favor compared to Beverly Hills. I think the best place to get the best prices today or the best values would be Goldberg's. With B&M's recent shake-off I have my doubts with them. I'd go with Stacks ahead of Heritage too. I think Heritage puts up too much boring stuff in huge quantities.....much gets overlooked. I feel I can still get a good "deal" at Stacks or Goldbergs but do not feel that way at all about Heritage.
To pick whose best is difficult since the city the sale is held in, the state of the market at that time, how the coin is described, etc...... all play a critical role.

I expect it will be Goldberg. The full answer may be several
different auction houses. Depending on the type and condition
of the coins for sale and the time of year and which major show
the auction preceeds.
