HAVE all sets listed 100 % completed in raw grade ( except for 1969 WL variations - missing about 10 or so - no WL Mantle - way to expensive for me ! ) Robby

I'm looking at doing a set of 1954 Red Hearts in PSA 6 (If you have any PM me your price). I thought about doing a 68 Game set and even a 30's Diamond Stars set, but I think I have settled on the Red Heart Dog Food set.
32 Vintage baseball sets (many of which are complete but i always will upgrade) 4 Vintage Hockey 3 Vintage Football and I just started my first non-sport set , 1933 Goudey/WWG Sea Raiders Gum.
1) Hall of fame set -Baseball 2) Hall of fame Autograph set -Baseball ***Ranked #1*** 3) 1959 Ted Williams set 4) 1909-11 T-206 set (not really working on this set, Have been selling them off, I used to be ranked #6)

Until recently I was working on 3 sets. I just sold my 1956 Topps FB set. It was a partial set of 105 cards, PSA-8, 9 & 10's included.
So that now leaves me working on only 2.
A 1955 Topps AA FB set. A 100 card set. Presently finished, I am working on upgrading it though. So far I have 38 PSA-9's and always looking for more.
The other set I am working on is a 1949 Bowman BB set. I am trying to do it mostly in PSA-8's. WHen it comes to the tough low pop commons though, I wold settle for a PSA-7.
Any help any of you guys might be able to give would be greatly appreciated.
Rob, having built that set (minus less than a dozen cards) in all PSA 7 and 8, with a couple of 9's, I can definitely tell you that some of the high numbers are tough even in PSA 7.

I'm still trying to work on my 1962 Fleer football set, but it's just not out there. There has been exactly one card I needed come up in the last month, and it went more than twice SMR. With 5 registrants over 50% and 79 of the 88 cards having a pop in 8+ of less than 10, I guess I'm just going to have to be very patient .
In the meantime, I've been keeping up with my raw Marcus Allen and unopened football pack collections.
I've also been making strong progress in my 1989 Score PSA 10 set, almost by accident. I've had a number of commons solicited to me, and I just picked up most of the top rookies in one lot last night (I had only placed a lowball bid just in case).
I haven't decided yet what to pursue once the new issues trickle off and I can concentrate on vintage again. I'm considering 1957 Topps, 1958 Topps, 1967 Philadelphia, and 1970 Topps. Also, the WR and QB sets, the decade teams, the Heisman set, and Super Bowl MVP set, and the HOF RC set. I'll probably dabble in them all until one grabs me.
I've even contemplated starting a (gasp) non-football set. I've always loved 1959 Topps baseball .

I'm looking to upgrade 2 sets that are complete (59 Reds baseball and 74 Reds baseball). I have 12 sets in process, 4 player sets and 8 Reds team sets.
Active and passive, huh? In my case more like, all-year-round and winter additions:
All Year Round:
Baseball HOF Autographs - ***"Founder" & Former No. 1*** with fervent hopes of catching that pesky roastedcat sometime soon
Topps Baseball 1967-1972 - First goal to complete all six sets in NM, raw or graded, with the significant cards graded at least 7NQ
Winter Additions:
Bowman 1955 & Topps 1962-63 - Theoretically in raw VG just for my own amusement. My m.o. is to bid up to 1/4 of Beckett NM book price, avoiding the more obviously flawed but I've often been lucky and won significantly better than VG.
