Last time I saw one was around 1998 at a show in SF. I think it was going for around $800 at the time. I bought one raw that I thought would get a 9 but it ended up an 8. Population currently shows 6 9's.
  • Congrats. Sweet looking card.

  • Great looking card, EOMINT.

I know you also needed a PSA 9 1957 Drysdale and that one just went on ebay on Monday for $7,110 to "flyliner28." Given that the SMR is $5,500, I think the buyer vastly overpaid for this one because the card was noticeably tilted. The card itself was tilted (shifted) at an angle in its holder, almost as if the seller was trying to obscure the fact that the card was tilted. Granted, the population of PSA 9 Drysdale's is only six, but I sure wouldn't have shelled out such big bucks for a tilted card.

The Drysdale is a really tough card and yes, I do need that one and it will probably be my next acquisition...I didnt bit on the one on ebay for exactly the reason u cited...though I have had nothing but positive experiences w/ the Skerbes that card looked severely tilted and having to look at it would just annoy me...if Im going to pay a premium I want a nice example! Anyone out there know where I can find a good one...
