the Wiles book on the series is the best reference if you enjoy the nuances of the coin. no doubt there is doubling of some sort on most U.S. issues, it's just a matter of someone taking the time to study large volumes of mint state coins and verify the results. then there's the task of finding a market. most doubling needs to be strong enough to be seen with low power, 7X tops IMHO, to really get the attention of the masses. the Kennedy DDo's are similar to the Morgan VAM's in that they are very subtle and hard to detect.
i have a SEGS 1965 SMS designated DDO Kennedy and i can't really discern the doubling with a 15X and i have a raw 1955-D Washington MS64 with obvious D/D that can be seen with a 3X. which do you think is the more interesting coin??
