After a year of playing with photoshop for webpage graphics I've accumulated a lot of spare parts. I found enough today to put together 3 new copper small cents.

That bottom interpretation would be a killer design to replace the current design in 2010 - If you need me to send a letter to the Mint I WILL! image

Thanks CoinAddict, I forgot to mention you could mix and match the sides. I like the first one because it blends all 3 small cents, and when Lincoln turns 100 the IH cent will turn 150.

The images I sliced up were the nicest I found of certain design elements. The ones that aren't mine are older auction lots from Superior (Indian, USA) & Heritage (Eagle), and the 1859 wreath (coin 3) is from Lakesammman.

Love #3 - add a date with logo and it's ready to go! Sure hope they don't have the striking problems they encountered in 1856....will there be weak S and strong S varieties??image

Shylock, these are awesome. Could you add the date 2009 to each one?

    Dear Mr. Shylock,

Thank you for your design submission for the new US Cent.

Below is a photo of the final cent design which, after several months of intense debate in committee, was finally deemed to be sufficiently politically correct while still taking into account the realities of production processes at the US Mint.

We trust that you will be pleased with the result.

    Director, US Mint
