Ozzie Smith basic and master registry sets

Would like to thank BJ and the other hard working PSA guys for getting my "Wizard" set up. If it weren't for PSA i wouldn't be back into the card collecting hobby. Thanks!!!

I'm glad to see there is an Ozzie set. As far as player sets Ozzie is towards the top of my list.

right on, ben! your ozzie sets look good. i'm proud to say that i contributed a few oddball cards to your master set.

changing topic, i'm guessing you're pretty stoked with the new registry special. i hope you have some '88s ready to go. i've been checking ebay for nice raw sets that would yield some 9-worthy stuff. i may try to pick something up in the coming weeks since this special runs through june.

  • Thanks Steve. Yes i have to give you props for the help on the master set. I'm a little embarrassed not to have his RC though. Trying to find a nice 8 to hold me over for awhile.

Actually yesterday a guy name Roger (ebay- 4-sharp-corners) made a trade with me. I'll be getting a 1985 Donruss (black borders) PSA 10, 1/1 card. He wanted the 1972 Topps Ted Hendricks PSA 8 i had on Ebay. Thought i got a hell of a deal!

Gotta love the new special. I'll be submitting a good amount of 88 OPC's. A few 72 OPC's that i bought from Aaron's that i'll be starting a small set with. Got several Pronger and Chopper low # cards. Also have doubles of Jackman SP and SPx RC's. If i hit a couple 9's on those i'll have to hook you up.

Was hoping that you would of won the Shanahan RC PSA 9 i had up last week! I got 5 of those 88 OPC's set and they were made from vending. If your wanting a set from that year give me an email. I could put together a nice sure shot 9, possible 10's set.

Just curious- does PSA grade Ozzie's 1978 Padres Family Fun card?
  • RH54- I have no idea. I think they would. Do you have a scan of that card? Trying to think of what it looks like.
I'd really like to get a 79 Hostess graded but can't.

I don't have the card but as I remember, it's somewhat oversized and I think the photo is of him standing there (non-action in other words). It's a card I've been interested in getting over the years and they come up on ebay once in a blue moon. Logically, I wouldn't see the problem with PSA grading them. I'm sure they have a case that'd fit the card and they grade about every other regional card that's ever been produced.
