Type 1 or Type 2 Ike

What is the difference between the Type 1 and Type 2 Ike reverses for the 1976 clad Bicentennial? Thanks for your help.image

One the reverse. The fat letters are type one; the thin letters are type two.

  • Wayne, your NUMIS-U is fabulous. How can I access it to retrieve other numismatic info? Thanks.

    Irv,

So far, there is not much there. I have reserved the NumisU domain name and ultimately hope to do a lot more with it. Currently, I'm hosting it on my own site and just have three features:

    1970-S Small Date Cents

1976 Type I and Type II Ikes

    1979 Wide Rim SBA

I'm about to start work on a larger "Buyer's Guide to BU Rolls" that I hope to have up in a week or so. My goal is to do a new feature every 4 to 6 weeks. When I do one, I introduce it in my periodical e-mail to subscribers of my near-monthly e-mail. If interested in these periodic updates, you can sign up on the mailing list page of my website below. The e-mail is primarily commercial in nature but I do provide educational content to keep people reading.

I try to address issues that I frequently get questions about and am gradually checking them off. When the basics are covered, I'll then try and get more obscure. I welcome topical suggestions and would happily host other's similar work (subject to my editorial approval). Topical development is not real high on my list of priorities so I expect it to be a slow project.

Once you see them side by side, it will be obvious.
