MAJOR FRAUD ALERT

I was contacted via email to purchase coins from a dealer in Switzerland.

Frederik Buwe Collections
Riva Vincenzo Vela 4
Lugano 6900
Switzerland

The letter reads...

"Dear Friends,

My name is Frederik Buwe from Frederik Buwe Collections and Buwe's Investment Banking Trust,
located in Lugano,Switzerland.
I am selling out my antique store. I have got few fields
of interests, such as antiques coins, USA gold coins, antique cars ,
very rare stamps and antique maps and manuscripts."

After reveiwing the coins at 1/2 of market I responded and was asked to wire funds to Russia!

Since I know anything that sounds to good to be true is suspect I researched this on the internet. This clown has been doing this fraud in every industry from rare books, stamps and nbow trying to scam the coin buying community.

Thanks, Bob, for the alert. I'd like to think we're all smart enough not to be taken by something like this, but a warning certainly can't hurt...

Did I mention that guy in Nigeria is actually a second cousin of mine?

    Nwcs,

Believe it or not, there have been idiots that have actually fallen for that Nigerian scam! I've heard of more than one clown flying to Nigeria with a pocket full of cash (earnest money) to pick up his share of skimmings.

    You just can't fix stupid.

who on earth would wire money to a foreign country?

i bought some about $10 worth of stamps from some guy in Canada on a whim and give them about a 20% chance of actually showing up. If they don't what am I gonna do about it?

Yeah, always a sucker born every minute. Of course, the fact they keep repeating it makes this saying true:

Stupidity is doing the same wrong thing over again and expecting a different result
