To slab or not?

I won this beautiful proof SAE door prize at the Buena Park show today,image

complete with original mint packaging and COA. imageimage

I don't collect SAEs in particular, or proofs in general.image

Question 1: Is the coin better off (read valuable) in the high-number PR slab it would surely rate, image
or in its original mint plastic container inside a plush velvet box, inside a cardboard box, with COA?

    Only a 69 or 70 would command a price higher than if it were left in the box, imo, just because of the registry game...

  • Take a REAL good look with a 10X loupe. If it's a 2002 especially, you may find that it's got some pretty good hits on it.
