    I for got to add.....

    Well, la de fricken da!!
  • Yep.....Chris Farley was funny.....and died an unexpected and quick death. He will be missed......

With PayPal.......we're not so lucky! Their death will be long and agonizing.........for all of us who got taken by this lowlife wana-be "bank"! (but with NO real customer protections as they are unregulated unlike a real bank). Customer service nill and almost impossible to talk to anyone with any decision making authority!

They took me for $1,800 or so, plus they say i owe THEM an additional $1,200........and suing them would cost me more than that in attorney fees and court costs. They reversed over $3,000 in CLEARED Paypal transfers to my account from another persons PayPal account ("cleared funds" on their end and NOT from a credit card payment subject to a "chargeback). Why......because THAT person was not delivering merchandise HE was recieving payment for from internet sales. I got notified i "had cash", and had been paid by this person,......and i delivered on my end! Got screwed plain and simple! No ability to have a judge hear my side! No nothing 'cept a notice the $1,800 or so in my account was taken and they wanted the $1,200 back they had already paid out for purchases i had made. I guess these "3rd parties" were deemed too far extrainious from this scammer to hold them accountable. But i, being the recipient was robbed! Since it's been way more than a year and i haven't been taken to court over their "percieved" debt to them.......i guess they felt they didn't have a "snowballs chance" of convincing any judge that i owed them anything! Maybe even thought a judge might award me the $1,800 that was "stolen", perhaps?

When they go.........won't be missed by me and THOUSANDS of others they reamed! For an eye opening experience type in "paypal complaints" on a search engine such as "www.Google.com".......and know what CAN happen to you if you leave your funds entrusted with them.

PayPal was a good idea........but a lowsy implementation! What other business holds YOU accountable for another persons actions? Does your bank take funds out of your account because someone else bounces a check in theirs? (no....not "your" check!) They have been unprofitable for so long it's only a matter of time. Meanwhile, anyone who has a decent balance in their accounts is at risk.

Accounts can be frozen at any time! Someone let me know they had a $40,000 or so balance frozen for 6 months because that person was disputing a few hundred dollar transaction into his account. Six months of fighting to get the account unfrozen.......and a 6 month interest free "loan" of sorts for a struggling company! Nice way to do business....

PayPal will go under none too soon for me! (and i'll dance on their grave!)

    Joe T.
PS.......this is my 1st post here and i hated to waste it on this lousy company post...........but i feel a lot better if i can save some of you some dough! Do NOT keep large balances in this company if you feel you must use them for now. At least then your exposure will be limited......

Wow, I just thought they were just another credit card deal. What a scam. Ebay is like the wild west in the 1800's......caveat emptor.

  • WOW!!!! I just checked in there and the NUMBER OF COMPLAINTS are now around 20,000 IN TOTAL! Last year when i had my "shtooping" the total was around 13,000 or so. Seems like PayPal is still making new friends!
