Never mind.... everyone is too wrapped up in their own little problems

Move along... nothing to see here.

Are you talking about Operation Thin Mint? I already sent a few packages, and it's worthwhile to do.

Some of the people at work have daughters in the Girl Scouts and naturally we all buy a bunch. This year they had a program where you buy those excellent Thin Mints, my favorite, and have them sent overseas.
  • forget it.

clw54 - Your participation is appreciated.

I'll take the quest elsewhere, where folks are a bit more concerned about the troops.

Dan, many of us were troops once and right now they have more things on their minds

then cookies. Whenever everyone tells you its going to be a walk in the park , troops

start to get real concerned and edgy. As for being wrapped up in our little problems, exactly how

many years did you say you served in the military service of our nation????

  • Some of us are already sending care packages on our own

I have a boy in Kuwait, another in Okinawa, another in Alaska, one in boot camp in SC and another getting ready to go into Army boot camp. Have sent and will continue to send coorespondence and care packages to them and their buddies. Okinawa boy just got married. Kuwait boy trained to blow things up for two years in Army Reserves, Army Corp of Engineers sent him to build bridges. SC boot camp boy is following in Dad's and Grampa's footsteps. Army boot camp boy is a young man trying to find himself and is the only one of my boys that stayed active in the Troop until he turned 18 but still did not make Eagle Scout.

I am sure that many other members of this board are active at their own level of support and participation in supportiong our Troops over seas.

One of our members, MrPaseo, has deployed for parts unspecified. He's in the Army and leaves a wife, kids, and cat behind.
  • Mrpawn, MrPaseo and hundreds of thousand others have my full support, my thanks, and my prayers.

They are helping to ensure that my 11 year old daughter will not have to live in fear.
