That would not be an indication. The way the software works, a banned member can still be logged in (cookies), but can't post or respond/send PMs.

I stand corrected. Fusetalk now has a feature that nukes the member's cookie when they are banned, so they are no longer able to log in. Profile (eyeglasses) and PM icon would still be visible though, unless the admin chooses to completely remove all traces of the member.
