Been playing with my camera and think I have got it down pretty good.....take a look

I believe I have found the color adjustments and proper lighting. What do you think?

Nice those are some great pictures. How about some info on your camera, lighting and settings?

i am using a Olympus Camedia C-3000, it has a digital zoom and macro mode. It is a 3.3 megapixel camera and it is set on 1600x2148 resolution right now. I am using the "dome"setup that the guy sells at the big shows with the optic fiber lights. I have been holding the coins in my hand for the raw ones as it is much easier to get the lighting just right this way. Still a littel experimenting on the slabs.

I also bought a copy stand to see if I can get the slabs to come out better with that setup. It should be here next week.

    one more thing.........

I set the light source one the camera to the 3rd one from the top flouresent which I use 3 flouresent lights and a regular for lighting in this room), this seems to have taken all the yellow out of the photos!!
  • Very nice JC - I bet the only thing that's actually missing is that brilliance that comes in underneath the toning - that's a trick an a half to capture!! - great pictures!
