TURNAROUND TIMES.........David Hall answers my question directly (good news)!

here is the thread from the Q&A forum
<< <i>I am aware that you guys need more qualified graders but when will they be hired and ready to grade? >>
David Halls answer
<< <i>We have added two new graders in the past 45 days...PCGS founder Gordon Wruble moved back to California from New Hampshire...and Mike Sargent came back to PCGS after 9 months at Heritage. I believe we can get the economy turn-around time down to where I'd like to see it, i.e. a maximum of 30 days...in about 60 days or so. >>
I would like to say to David:
Way to go and a ATTABOY!
Thank you for answering this question directly and thank you for addressing one of the main complaints at PCGS right now!

If they don't try to do anything about it then there is a problem.
I believe that PCGS has tried to be very professional in their approach to this. Not many CEO's would even venture into a forum to discuss issues...They wouldn't take the risk.
If you know they are 60 days behind, submit your coins and relax..... If the time thing is a problem for you, then don't submit the coins.
No one seemed to really believe me. I hope you all are starting to feel bad
for doubting the little bear. Much more is yet to be, patience
my dear Forum Members, patience.

is this another instance of making a mountain out of a molehill then?

Modern coins are graded by different graders. They modern tier is also regarded as a "regular service" tier, so those are graded in abnout the same time as a regular service submission.
Regardless, 60+ calender days turnaround is simply unacceptable, and PCGS isn't going to be seeing any more of my coins valued at under $300 until such time as I see they have a consistent turnaround of about 30 days or less.
For Bear, patience might be a virtue, but when part of your income is derived from picking out raw coins, getting them certified, and selling them, patience doesn't put food on the table.
