The termites seem to be coming out of the woodwork

BearBear Posts: 18,953 ✭✭✭
For a long time the people of this Forum, pleaded and demanded changes.

Now when changes are starting to occur, instead of waiting to see what happens,

its fun time at the playground. Lets look under every word for deceit and money making scemes,

and phoney baloney additional grading criteria. This all may be nothing more then blowing off steam,

or your expectations may have been excessively high, or we are a generation that believes in no one and

nothing. I have notice reletively few voices, but the vast majority seem to be withholding judgement,

and wisely so, to see if this is real and of substance or a mirage. Settle down children and in the

coming weeks and months, we shall see what these changes will mean in the way of service.

Well-said Bear! Take a chill pill and watch the changes implemented then review after a satisfactory amount of time has past.

Yes, indeed I am waiting to see what the effects of all this will be. But after discovering my palm printed morgan dollar, I'm sorely tempted to never submit again -- for designations, crossovers, whatever. Wouldn't stop me from buying certified coins, but I don't think I want to risk a coin getting printed again.

Boy the boards are sporadic, and I can only access a few threads, but I can only imagine the brewhaha. I'm sure a great deal of thought went into the changes that are presented tonight, and I'm sure they were implemented based on the suggestions we presented here on the boards. I can imagine they have been in the works and the source of a great deal of discussion in the board room, and I'm sure D.Hall has been waiting on legal, and accounting, hoping to announce the changes. The bodybag explaination, the would cross at sticker, and the personal grade review are all things we have been hoping for for a long time. I'm delighted PCGS listened. Are there possible perils? Sure. Are there possible benefits to the collector? You bet. I'm all for the change. I'll reserve judgement of implementation until I it appropriate. These are good signs.image

Bear, am I being good tonight? Of course I have not posted anything, because you said to think twice before hitting the post button. As a result I have cancelled about 20 posts. This is the first one that seems balanced and neutral.

If you wait until sufficient time has passed, then discover that you don't agree with the changes, it will be a little late to do anything about it except regret not voicing complaint when there was still time to make a better mousetrap.

NumisEd - lately its been hard finding threads that are even handed. Most seem to want to savage

something or someone. Neutral isnt really so bad. After all ,with a little time, we should have the

answeres to most of our questions. Actually I cancell about 10 replys a day as not being appropriate.

If I really dont have anything to say that is funny or meaningful, I guess I just wont say it at all.

Saves a lot of wear and tear on me as well as the other members. Regards Abe

Monstavet, Its kind of hard to change something when we are

not at all sure what the changes mean and how they will be handled.

Let us see the full picture of all of the changes, before we yell fire

    in a crowded theatre. Bear

    Bear,

Well said. I'm personally hoping the full torch designation that was announced is centered around the bands as I've been actively searching for full band Roosies.

    Here's to you, Bear!
