Sniping help

I hope this isn't too off topic but I'm currently using auction sniper which seems to work pretty well. They charge 1% with a minimum of 25 cents per successful bid. Are there any companies either charging a flat monthly rate or else is there a program available that you can buy for sniping without the reoccurring fees? Any help would be appreciated.

You know, before this morning (when I read a related post) I never even knew such services/programs even existed. Me being the idiot I am I have been doing my own sniping for the past few years. I would also appreciate any help regarding services/programs. Thanks

I use esnipe, as do many people on the boards....

My thoughts are as following:
1)Very very strange and hard to understand pricing...but not much $$ compared to what it might cost me if I were to place my bid days or hours in advance...
2)Very reliable...never had a problem
3)clunky site...not very user friendly....

But it does what I need it to do..problem is my bids never get placed....guess I need to up my bids

Esnipe seems to be the snipe service of choice, but they do charge per auction. I have never used this service, so I can't comment further.

Auction Stealer has also been mentioned. Again, I have no experience with this service either.

The service I have used successfully for about 3 months now is Just Snipe. They charge a flat monthly fee. I had a few problems with snipes not registering in January. They suggested that I place my snipes twice in case one doesn't go through. I've been doing this ever since and haven't had a problem. I would suggest doing this with some of the other services as well (if additional fees won't be charged). If you only bid on a few auctions each week, they offer a free service that allows five snipes per week. To me, the monthly fee that I pay is well worth it to not have to sit in front of the computer and manually place bids at the end of the auction (or even have to remember to do it).

I use ESnipe and have been using it since December out of over 500 auctions I have had bid failure 3 times.... Pretty good track record if you ask me ... Yes the 1% or the 25 cent minimum per winnig snipe bid is a pain but it frees me up for more important things drinking wine watching Baseball games etc.. etc...

If you dont snipe a lot, auctionstealer gives you 10 free snipes per month (just changed from 5 per week ).

You might want to try Robobidder at 25 cents per item BUT you are charged only if you win. You can submit in increments up to within 5 seconds of the end of an auction.

www.vrane.com lets you schedule 1 free snipe at a time. You can use it as often as you want, as long as it's only one snipe at a time. If you want to schedule multiple snipes at once, they have a flat fee for unlimited snipes.

I love it. it's user friendly. the billing is easy to understand.
.25 or 1%
they only bill you when your amount goes over $5.
cell phone outbid notice.
as far as bid failure goes, I have had one in the past 6 months...

ydsotter - that's who I use also and I've been real happy with their program except for pricing.

I appreciate everyone's help. I'm going to check some of these out.

I use Auction Sentry which i bought off of ebay. There is no monthly fee. It has been working great for me.:
