Like I said in the auction i am not a dealer or a avid seller!

    18 silver ones at minimum $6 each ==> $108
    3 clads at $1 each ==> $3
    1 missing from count, assume silver, $6

    Total $117
    Give Blood (Red Bags) & Platelets (Yellow Bags)!

    $30 or $40 would be well below melt value. You should end up at about $120 or so with the auction. It is a bit deceptive, though. Title says 22 Morgan and Peace, when there is actually only 19.

    EDIT: Damn, I have to improve my typing skills!

  • Really interesting i did not know that the morgans and peace would be worth that much!

    I guess that i should not have counted the three Eisenhower coins in the title!

    I will make sure that the winner is aware of my mistake before payment is made!

    Do you know what a fine dollar looks like? It looks to me a couple of those morgans could be XF or AU ?

    how can you tell what grade the coins are, i can't even tell if their morgans or silver roundsimage I'm not saying the seller is lying but i'm wondering is my eye sight that bad?

    good job putting those toned ones in the back - that always brings some bidders hoping for a hidden mystery coin.

    1 Tassa-slap
    2 Cam-Slams!
    1 Russ POTD!
  • OK everyone MY digital camera is not that good!

    I am very new the coin collecting hobbie and i looked at these coins very close and dont think they are XF but that is just me i dont like them!

    2 that were kept out of the lot to save for maybe sending in to be graded later, look really nice to me!

    There is one more picture of the coins i will post here now.

    Also the 2 in the back are dirty not toned! If you want more pics i can send!

    Hey that's nice of you to be concerned and post here asking advice. I'm glad your lot is doing better than you expected. Usually it's the other way around. image

    Gary - better pictures get more money on eBay - also 3 day sales have no advantage -> usually better going 5,7, maybe 10 and over a weekend if possible.

    I know how difficult it is to take close-ups, especially since your camera may not allow macro or is autofocus.

    But could you get as good a picture of the front of these 2 coins?
    Morgan back row, 2nd from the right
    Peace second row from the front, 2nd from the right

    Gary, coins have specific grading terms and numbers/letters/designations for what condition they are in- if you call a coin 'good', that is about as bad as it can get with coins. It looks to me you are severly undergrading some of these coins (big mistake on eBay because buyers are used to lowering the grade that people claim anyway)- maybe best to buy a photograde book, or go to a local dealer or show - also color has value - if those 2 morgans in the back row have yellows/golds/greens/reds you are really losing out.

    mbbiker - grading off of my perception of luster, amount of dirt around letters, and hair detail seen - I still think there are some AU's in there, maybe even a MS, that would be a nice buy at $5/ dont' you think?

    Gary, you have to be happy with that close. Your pictures keep getting better too.
    On eBay, good pictures sell better than good stories usually.

    You sent me some close-ups of some one is rather interesting - the 1896 reverse.

    Anyone care to guess, is this a chopmark on the breast or someone punch in a 1?

    Sinin - Looks like a counterpunched 1, very similar to the type used on locks and hotel key fobs back in the good-ole days.
