  • They do look really neat. That`s one nice thing about collecting Morgan type sets; They`re flexable.
  • Wow. That is a very nice collection. Helps out us newbie toned collectors tell real from AT.

  • It is pretty cool - I'm going to be putting together a set of these with the help of GSAGUY. I already have a few examples of my own and the rest I'll hopefully get from Bryan - Of course I'll post it when I have it finished.

Excellent post! I have not seen one of these before......way cool!image
  • Yeah that looks nice Frank but for myself I would rather have the one coin that you own, the one displayed at the bottom of all your posts, than all those others put together! image

That is probably my favorite coin because it has so many things going for it. You can see a couple of pictures of it in this thread - It's the 1884-O. The coin is in an MS65DMPL slab. As you can see it has some toning, so the mirrors are incredibly deep. Hits on the coin are minimal, so combined with the fact that it has frosted devices, it truly stands out. The toning on the coin ranges from brown to red to blue, on the perifery of the obverse and the crescent on the reverse. So it really has a lot going for it. It's not a rare date by any means, but certainly she has character! image
