Do you read every thread?

If not ,then what percentage of the threads do you read.

What other forums do you visit besides the US coin forum.

  • No.

But I probably read 90% of them.

I visit the Registry and For Sale boards quite regularly.

I try to pop in the open forum often, but I'm not a "regular" there.

I occasionally visit the Metal Detecting and Buy/Sell-Misc forums.

I scan all thread titles and will read the first post at length on
those that interest me. However, I do not read lengthy replies. I
skip over them and read the short replies. Replies should be very
    short and to the point.

I skip the ones that are addressed specifically to someone else (I always wonder why they don't use PMs) and skip most of the threads which have a title that doesn't indicate what the thread is about (e.g., "I don't believe it") unless the author is someone whose posts I make a point to read.

I don't mind long replies as long as it isn't babbling.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    I guess I won`t make that thread `Kranky....LQQK`....image
  • Come on Kranky, admit it, you know your curiosity gets the
best of you and you get sucked into checking out those vague
    titled threads like me!

I read this forum and the Metal Detecting forums regularly. On occasion, I slip to the dark side and the currency forums.

I read most of them, unless it looks like a big argument. Then I just skip it because it is almost never edifying or encouraging. Outside of this forum, I'll sometimes peek into the registry forum and BST.

No. I only read threads that are of interest to me.

I would say that I read about 20% of the new and/or active threads however there are a large number of threads that I don't even get to see based upon when I log in and how often I can check back.

I am sure that I have missed many a thread of interest to me but I don't always have the time to scroll back and search for them.

Besides, many of you guys (and gals) are up wwaaaayyyy past my bedtime.

    Joe.

I do like Joe. There's just so much time in a day for this stuff. I do read all of Coinguy's threads (so educational!)

Depends what content(by thread title) is available, sometmes very little, sometimes all of it. I also read the registry msgs & BST, and sometimes darkside & metal detecting. very infrequently the open boards.
