I have found in my life it is good to act like a duck: Water falls off like water off a duck's back. Meaning just ignore it as there are all kinds of people and it is not worth getting high blood pressure over it.
There is a difference in telling someone they could obtain a particular coin [modern or classic] for a lot less money then saying to some one "what you collect sucks"
If you collect modern coins because you enjoy them and don't care about the resale value, no one has the right to tell you moderns suck or you can't pay whatever you want to. Many people have mentioned cautionary notes on the value of high grade moderns between the grades of 69 and 70 with the intentions of making opinions of valuations for resale somewhere down the road if a situation arose where a moderns collector either needed to sell for economic reasons or simply wanted to change what they collect to free up some cash. That is certainley different then telling someone they can't collect whatever they like and that certainley includes modern coins. As i said yesterday collect what ever you want, as long as you like it, thats all that counts!
The President claims he didn't lie about taxes for those earning less then $250,000 a year with public mandated health insurance yet his own justice department has said they will use the right of the government to tax when the states appeals go to court.
Cuz Ben Franklin thinks it is cool. See my tagline, and this: "Educate your children to self-control, to the habit of holding passion and prejudice and evil tendencies subject to an upright and reasoning will, and you have done much to abolish misery from their future and crimes from society." --Benjamin Franklin (1706 - 1790)
Mark Twain also thinks it is cool: "It is better to keep your mouth closed and let people think you are a fool than to open it and remove all doubt." --Mark Twain (1835 - 1910)

nor for you personally. We must each collect how we want, what we want and when we want.
Even if some of us collect plastic, I still must like the coin in the plastic. Who in the ebtire world
(except our spouses) can tell us how to spend our money or enjoy our hobby. I can only tell
someone what I do, not what they should do unless they ask. I would recommend you go on with life
and your hobby as you see fit. There are too many really meaningful things in life to worry about
the small stuff that occur like dog droppings on the sidewalk. Bear

the reason it's right to be polite is because it's the natural state of man. there's just too many unnatural men around.

<< <i>Treat others the way you would want them to treat you. If they act like an ass in return then hammer them
Agreed!
<< <i>Besides, a duck has no idea you have just urinated on its back >>
ROTFLMAO! That's one of the funniest in quite a while, Mitch. Good one.
Because Mark, by nature you're a good man and being otherwise goes against your grain.
PS: The PCGS MS68 Sacawagea arrived today and I have only one question for you:
Why the heck did PCGS not award this one a 69?!

Even more confusing. Why be proud of it?
