A beautiful first year of issue Gold Bullion coin. Currently this date has a population of only 8 pieces. I Just wanted to let the Registry guys know that this coin is available on eBay with a Buy it Now price of $3,995.00. Thanks.

    thats very nice but hey its a bullion coin...dont know if it warrents a $3,500 price good luck in selling it if you are the seller....

    Price might be a little steep, but who knows. A population 2 1987 $25 bullion in 70 sold for $6,600 on Teletrade a while back.

    The price is just about right on with this date from what I have seen. The last three all traded at that ask price in the last month or so. Someone had the good fortune to make a few of these. The 1987 $25 MS70 sold on Teletrade for over $6000 but that was a pop 2 coin. There are some very serious American Gold Eagle collectors out there. After all, this is the first gold series to be available here in the US since that guy on the dime was in office.imageimageimage

    Up until a month ago there were only a handful of 70's in the series and None in the proof gold eagles. I think most of these new ones have all been gobbled up.
