Isn't that the Coin World slab?

I concur- look at the cert. number... 922... does look like a new company- good call!

But does IKE have a fingerprint on his head?

  • I think this one came up before a short time ago. I'm sure Conder will have the scoop.
  • 2 posts on this last week. They are all over ebay. None in my hose though!

I'm going to buy some Coin World "slabs" and start my own service. I'm naming it Slack-U-Grade (or SLUG for short). When I get some inserts printed and the slabs assembled, I'll post photos. image

ACG will gladly do that for you with their new "private label slabbing service"

That's Pushkin's racket, (PGS) he doesn't need the competition.

Believe it or not it is almost cheaper to go that route than use the Coin World Shells. Plus the slabs are actually sealed and you don't have to spend the time assembling them. In larger quantities it IS cheaper.

Trugrade has been discussed here several times in the past two weeks. I know of them but hve not acquired one yet. They have been around for about a month. They turned up the day after I finished the text and closed down the slab book to new submissions. So they will not be in the first edition of the book and will have to wait for the second. (I've turned up a couple more varieties since then as well which are also waiting for the second edition.)
  • I know TRUGRADE is new but is there any feeling out there about the quality of their grading? Also, it appears that their slabs are about ANACS size...correct? Twowood

I don't think they're the size of an ANACS holder. A little bigger it looks like. The slab diagnositics almost looks like a mix between PCGS and ACG slab design.image

Just a quick post to apologize for bringing the topic back up. I did not realize this company has already been discussed.

If I could snipe a slab for a good price, I might do that to see how their grading is.
