  • my bad, what got into me about raiders being in NFC....just thinking west coast for some reason, my bad.....I am getting ahead of myself.....Anyways, Eagles had the softest schedule of any team in the NFL...They won't go far......The NFC hopes will be Falcons (just a grinder team, they fare well January) and BUCS.....AFC hopes will be Jets and Raiders.....With Raiders winning it allimage They just look heads above the rest and coming into the postseason on a high note

Giants also a grinder team now...All those fumbles and still beat Philly

  • All this talk about the Giants beating the Eagles, dont you people follow football? The Eagles were without a decent player by the name of Donovan McNabb.

And joestalin, dont talk. The Bucs will choke like every year in the playoffs.

  • mcnabb has been practicing so im sure he'll be back for the first playoff game. your bucs cant deat anybody in the playoffs, especially not gb or philly.
  • and zimmy, still whining about the legal sapp shot?? get over it, didnt a packer make pretty much the same play on a gu the next week?? it was all good then. and hell, they shouldnt even have the rights to play in the playoffs, they cant beat the vikings at home without the refs, and its probably true for all the games they play at home.
  • jbugs, did you not see he just said that he was ready to injure more people? So of course I brought it up. And no, it was not a legal shot. And please tell me what was illegal about what a packer did the next week? he went up and tackled a guy with the football when the whistle hadn't ever blown. He didn't go up and blindside him, he didnt go up and nail him with his helmet, he went up and tackled the guy. If the refs had blown the whistle like 5 seconds ago like the rules say then the guy would have never tackled him. But if the refs never blew the whistle you can't just not tackle him, he could get up and run or whatever. Blame the refs, not the player.

  • hmm, considering Gb should have at least 1 fewer wins, they never had a chance at a bye, and im glad they didnt get it. Sapps hit was completely legal,he hit him above the waste from the side. Gb should of never won the game against the vikings, and im sure thats not the only home game they've had that the refs had won the game for them. if they cant beat the vikings at home, who can they beat?(besides bengal, and tampa?) you can talk all you want about the cold, but none of us know how vick will play in the cold, and thats the only home-game you guys will get. consider yourself lucky!
  • LoL, I love stupid FB fans. "Gb should of never won the game against the vikings, and im sure thats not the only home game they've had that the refs had won the game for them." That would be like me sayng the Eagles probably had all their games won by the refs this year w/o any proof. First of all, the refs did NOT win that game against the Viks. We beat them fair and square. And no, that hit was not completely legal. He led with his helmet, and as we all know, that is illegal. he didn't go up and block him, he flung himself helmet first at Clifton. THAT is the difference. Again, stupid football fans who don't know a thing. "Packers must be 12-4 because of the refs, they couldn't have played good football, its just not possible cause I hate them so." I mean these kinds of statements are truly pathetic. In that vikings game AT LEAST 4 of those penalties wouldn't have mattered, not to mention all the blown calls against the pack earlier in the game. What about when Driver got held twice in the endzone? That non call cost us a TD. What about the two facemasking penalties, one for 5 yards and one for 15 yards. Those werent called were they??? Yea, but of course your theory is when the packers have a call/noncall go against them its just plain dumb luck while if it goes against the team the pack is playing all of a sudden it favoratism. Please JBugs, all year you have been getting close to eclipsing Joestalin as the dumbest person on these boards, and that is saying something. BTW: isn't it your Eagles that ALSO blew their shot at clinching homefield against the Giants? They got 4 turnovers and STILL lost (oh btw the refs took away two of those TDs for the Giants, guess thats NFL favoratism for the Eagles huh?). Please JBugs, have an intelligent argument for once.

  • Have to say congrats to the Bucs even tho I don't like them. They won't go very far in the playoffs tho unless they get Brad back;maybe not even then considering thier past history.

For those of you questioning how Vick plays in the cold;that will NOT be a problem. He played for Va Tech which is in Blacksburg VA;one of the coldest areas of SW Va in the fall & winter. We live in Roanoke VA about 30 miles north of VA Tech & when it is 40 here it's 25 in Blacksburg because of elevation & mountains.Vick will do just fine in ANY kind of weather.

Watching all the teams going into the playoffs it seems to me that this years Super Bowl winner will be coming from the AFC.I just don't see ANY NFC team without some kind of problem in some key area.
I think it will be either my preseason pick of the Raiders or the hottest team going into the fray;the Jets! Happy New Year!

  • zimmy is 100% correct again.

When the bucs lose I don't see joe or any other bucs fan around but when we lose zimmy and i can face the fact like men.

The Packers didn't win 12 games cause of the refs. That's ludacris. I can't wait till the bucs lose in the 2nd round.

BTW...to clear everything up. That was an illegal shot the Sapp did on Clifton. Helmet first and all out.
  • zimmy doesnt face it. he makes up lame azz excuses. and you really won the vikings game fair and square. LMAO!! the refs admitted they made the bad calls at the end of the game. and the major one was the pass interference on the interception when nobody even touched him
  • JBugs, Go on the other boards. I said right then and there they played like crap, plain and simple. Seems like you are the one making excuses, saying the Packers should never have been where they were because of the refs. Let me break down those calls for you.

-Block in the back on Moss on the Sharper INT with 0 secs left-Of course no bearing, game was over
-Ferguson diving for TD, really down at the 1 yard line (almost assuredly a TD with 1st and goal at the one), and BTW: If it was really controversial and the Vikings really thought they could stop the Pack on the 1 yard line they would have challenged the call.
-Edwards roughing Walsh on that hit-First of all this is BS, he tackled a guy because the dumb refs never blew the whistle, so the penalty still shouldn't have taken place, and even if it did, the next play was a hail mary anyways.
-Pass Interference-No clear evidence that it wasn't. Only replay they ever showed was from the front and you cant tell if the Viking is grabbing him or not.
-Slight grab of the jersey on that punt-Happens all the time to the gunners, its never called, they only call it when you actually hold onto the guy for a period of time. If they are going to start calling it for that little grab then there would be a holding on every single punt return.

Seems like I just proved that 5 of those 8 didn't matter or shouldn't have been called anyways. The one clear call that the refs blew was that non pass interference call when one of our linebackers basically tackled Kleinsasser. I'm not sure what the other 2 plays were. And the refs never admitted that they blew it, the VIKINGS leaked the report to the press, a report that all NFL teams get after every game telling what calls they blew. Vikings want to explain their collapse that game so they decide to leak the confidentail memo. And again, where are the flags on those facemasks in the 1st half? One was a 5 yarder, one a 15. What about the non pass interference against Driver in the endzone? That wasn't called and that cost us a TD (well ball at the one). Thank you JBugs for playing, try again. Oh, and again I should mention that your team also choked when the stakes were huge, in the same stadium. You may have gotten home field, but you had to rely on that loss by the Pack, you couldn't take care of business either.

  • Bobstar is right, the superbowl champion will probably be an AFC team. If the Packers can pull themselves together and beat Atlanta, then they have to travel to Tampa. Favre has NEVER won a game at Raymond James Stadium. Unless Rob Johnson is the Bucs QB, the Defense of the Packers will probably get smoked by Brad Johnson like he did the first game. Besides Sharper, the Secondary of the Packers is ugly, and even Sharper is a moron. He wouldn't have gotten hurt if he would have kneeled in the end zone against the Bills instead of running it out, losing 5 yards (Only got it to around the 15), and getting injured. Before this even happens they have to beat Atlanta. I think they will just because without Christian, the Falcons are not the same team. So if GB does win and goes to Tampa, this will probably be Favre's last chance to win at RJ Stadium. He'll probably retire before they play there again in the regular season, and only chance would be in the playoffs. Giants VS Niners is a toss up. Collins still isn't the QB that will win a SB for the Giants, and unless he has a great game along with Tiki, the Niners will win and go to Philly. The big issue there is if Donovan will be ready and if they play him if the chemistry will be clicking. Philly will probably win that game, unless they make some big mistakes like they did against the Giants by not taking advantage of all the turnovers. Thus leaving the winner of GB/ATL (which should be GB unless they play like crap again) vs TB. So it could be Green Bay VS Old Green Bay (Reed, Levens, Freeman, Thomasin). Which would most likely end up with Philly winning unless Green Bay finds some Heart and starts playing some Defense. Tampa VS Philly could be a toss up, but if Donovan is back, I think Philly would win, Feeley might not be able to beat the Bucs in the Playoffs.

  • they showed like ten replays and nobody ever touched the packers. the nfl reviewed the 4th quarter and found at least 5 bad calls in the final two drives. the refs also admitted to making the calls.
  • JBugs, read the report. I just told you about the 6 of the 8 that I knew. I dont know what the other two were, but they definately werent the ones people where whining about. Yes, the refs admitted to bad calls, but through the confidential memo. Again, I just proved you wrong. Prove me wrong please. And just say that you are right and they showed 10 replays, which i never saw, then we got 2 blown calls that may have mattered. It was ugly officating all around. It doesn't make it any worse that the calls happened in the 4th quarter rather than the 1st or 2nd (like the ones that went against the packers). But of course you can't accept the fact that the packers went 12-4 with the 3rd most injured team in the NFL. The Eagles and Bucs are both better than the Pack right now, that is clear. But to say that the packers suck and Favre is washed up and that they don't deserve any credit is pathetic.
