"Elite" grading

I haven't seen this one before. Here is a sample:

'63 Fleer Mays

They misspelled "its" on their flip.

This looks pretty bad.

I always thought "It's" was the pronoun "it" showing ownership/possession whereas "Its" was "It is".

    Elite does misuse the word.

Here's an entry from The American Heritage® Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition on Dictionary.com

    its
    adj.
    The possessive form of it.
Used as a modifier before a noun: The airline canceled its early flight to New York.
Usage Note: Its is the possessive form of the pronoun it and is correctly written without an apostrophe. It should not be confused with the contraction it's (for it is or it has), which should always have an apostrophe.

Hope that clears it up and shows how ignorant the company that is "Setting the "New Standard" in Sports Card Grading" is.

    JEB.

I prefer the Gem Mints that clearly are not. Elite must be as bad as PRO - and that is saying something.

I posted this in the wrong forum. There's another thread going on in sportscard and memorabilia forum.

    Apologies,
