Heritage is such a tease!

I got a notification "Wantlist Notification: New Matches in Inventory" yesterday. Since I have a wantlist with Heritage, I look at all notifications I get to see if I like the coins they have for sale that I need for my collection.

I clicked on the link only a few hours after I got the e-mail and saw the page saying "The items you have requested have already been sold or are no longer available." This is the second time this has happened in two weeks, and it's for the same coin! The first time it happened it went from inventory to the Exclusively Internet Auction. I placed a relatively small bid, but forgot to track it and place a serious bid later (which I would have done after reviewing my finances). Now it's on their list of coins being sold on eBay.

Why even notify me it's available for sale if they're just going to take it out of inventory an hour or two after putting it in?!

Because they can't see too well from where their head is located.

Maybe they're just seeing how long I take to respond.

  • Dear Shirohniichan,

Although it is possible that an item can be removed from inventory (sold or just moved to another venue) after the notification is built and sent, it should only happen rarely. I am not in tech support, but I have seen a few instances lately of others reporting similar issues. If there is a bug in the system, we want to hunt it down and squash it as quickly as possible.

I encourage everyone to send the details (forward the notification if you can) to webmaster@HeritageCoin.com.

    Thank you,

Hmm a board member from Heritage...how nice...yup, there is a rainbow out there, nice to have you aboard. Hopefully you'll be able to squash some of the concerns we read about from time to time.

    Happy Holiday,
    Marc
