Wanna hear something funny from Anaconda?

I have three brothers, no sisters. I'm number two.

The brother right next to me - Eric - #3 - not the guy who heads up security for the Liberty Bell (Ian - #4) but my
brother who was cop of the year for Maryland and who fought in Desert Storm (you can tell I'm proud of both of them) just told me
for the first time that he and his wife buy and sell stuff on eBay.

Interestingly enough, he sells coin-like objects called Challenge something or others that have to do with police memorabilia (sp?).

And, he has an eBay rating in the three hundreds. (I have an eBay rating in the 300s and sell coins, as some of you may know.)

I guess I need to talk to him more often!! Actually, I talk to him every couple of months and he just never mentioned his eBay
activity for some reason. Maybe I just need to shut up more often!!

  • Who are you and what have you done with Adrian.

  • I have him tied up and put him in his attic. I have shoved a circulated Kennedy into his mouth for torure....

I will now post for the next week as him with an attitude of joy and love, thereby destroying his reputation as a cold-hearted ruthless
uncaring unkind coin dealer, personal injury lawyer and TV evangelist wannabe.

I thought you were going to say "for toning". I'm sure Anaconda would be turning a lovely shade of blue.
Actually I surprised you and your brother don't talk EBay alot. With all the people buying and selling on eBay, it's still rare for me to come across anyone who deals there.

Maybe Challenge Coins? They are big in the military. Given out by Commanders and First Shirts and such for good deeds.

They are also issued by individual units and those you are supposed to carry on you at all times. If you are at a bar and someone does a 'coin check' , the people who don't have theirs have to buy a round.

Here's the one from my career field:

    Bmet Challenge Coin

Time sure flies when you don't know what you are doing...

What we don't know about people that we are close to know or think we know well can be amazing. About a year and half ago my wife mentioned to be that she was considering writing a book of poetry. I smiled at her and said something husbandy like that sounds nice dear and smiled. She began sitting at the computer taking up my computer timeimage and writing. She contacted her artistically talented nephew in New Jersey and hired him to do the illustrations for the book.

She could tell my enthusiasm was overwhelming so she said little to me about it. In February she lost her mother so the book's direction changed a little. About a month ago several cases of books arrived from UPS. Wow she had done it. Amazon I was floored by the thoughts she had brought to life and expressed in one short book. Of course this is a woman who always finishes what she starts, if only that could be said about others including myself.

What you don't know about some one can amazing.

What would have made this situation even funnier would have been if your brother had bought a coin from you and neg'ed you for some reason.

More seriously, I have one sister. I haven't spoken to her in about 5 years, which pleases us both. I wonder if she and her husband are selling stuff on ebay? Your thread is making me go "hmmmmmm." But, of course, your ebay write-ups for you coins also make me go "hmmmmm." image

  • Well now that you're in this "good" mood, would you please refer to the post of the Anaconda Coin Give Away Program so we may all rejoice in the christmas spirit. image

That's ok, my sister graduated from college two years ago and I still don't know where she went/is. (We didn't get along well after the carpet fire tragedy of '89)

    Cheers!
