    =pads his stats

    kobe avg 29 ppg 8 rebs and 8 assists without shaq and people said kobe struggled

    autobilia kobe's fieldgoal shooting 41.9 % without shaq, but he did everything else better........and thats a hell of alot better than what iverson was shooting at that point, but even ivy has picked up his shooting touch,,,,,, .... and kobe is only a career 45% shooter and duncan even struggled early on in the season.....you don't judge a player on 12 games......

    it;s a 82 game season.....



    another thing.......tmac shot 42% all season last year

    Kobe was being judged on his stats without Shaq. Had nothing to do with total season stats. We were just making a point on how much of an impact Shaq had on Kobe's stats and Lakers' record.

    all up from 25.5 ppg from last year, 5.5 rebs and 5.5 assists


    by the way......the magic are 2-0 without tmac this season and 1-4 without grant hill

    looks like the magic struggle aswell without grant hill......kobe was missing two starters from the team and still avg 8 assists with scrubs........

    Recognize this stat. Shaq has never shot below 50% his entire career (10+ seasons and shooting over 50% now). Kobe has never shot over 50% his career (6 seasons and shooting below 50% now).

    The records dont mean anything....I will tell it how it is, T-Mac was playing better than Kobe for the beginning of the season, but the past 10 or so, Kobe has been outplaying T-Mac, bottom line...It will always be this way, back and forth with eacjh palying better in sperts

    Auto, in all fairness thats a bit misleading. i mean Shaq can score 30 points and 24 of them can be on dunks. hard not to shoot a high % when you take high % shots like Shaq..

    yep, and players like TMac, Kobe, and smaller guys, rely on deep shots and fall away shots which are much more difficult.....But then again I guess it is his own advantage to be os big that there is no way to stop him, and he happens to shoot that %....I mean oyu can't look at it like that totally, BC other players can get dunks as easy as him, which is a reason why he IS the most dominant force in the NBA

    im not sure if other Centers get the position Shaq gets but i understand your point..to be honest with you i don't think any Center should shoot under 50 % from the field

    With all due respect, I never liked Iverson, I played devils advocate (meaning I argued the other point just to argue). You and I both know that Iverson isn't HALF the OVERALL player as McGrady or Kobe. I think we also both know that Kobe vs. T-Mac is a valid arguement as they are easily the best two OVERALL guards in the league. 3 losses is bad for Orlando, but in a weak Eastern Conference I think they'll be alright.

    lakers are strugglin with shaq and kobe.....pretty sad if you ask me.

    the biggest winning streak is 2 wins without shaq and with shaq........I think they lost tonight, because kobe hurt his arm and only took 12 shots....6-12, and 14 assists again

    the lakers need kobe to score more not be magic johnson.........

    yep....both him and T-Mac need to take alot more field goal attempts....Both offenses run through each player....Kobe is getting lots of touches but giving it up in favor of assists....Doc Rivers has a theory of working the ball around the perimeter and spreading out shots with garrity, miller, hill, tmac, armstrong....Pretty damn stupid if you ask me, in my opinion explains why the have sucked the past few games...Damn, it always hurts when you have to take a loss against Golden State, i mean there talented but damn, there record dont show it....And those close games against Memphis, WTF is wrong with the league this year?

    hahaha yeah kobe did block two tracy shots and also flew past him and posterized the whole magic frontline. 1-0 vs the lakers? hahahaha man tmac is 1-7 vs the lakers and kobe overall..........you gotta win sometime, but 6 points in the 4th for tmac and 16 points for kobe in the 4th lets you know tracy's team saved him with all those 3's.



    by the way....38 points each that game for kobe and tracy, but antwain jamison and kobe each scored 50 each in one game and the warriors won, so I guess jamison is better than kobe.

    Lmao, Dude I notice you dont come out of hiding until Shaq's back and the LAkers have a few wins under their belt.T-mac has stunk it up a bit his last couple games.but the fact remains he has proven that he can get it done with or w/out Hill.Orlando has'nt had Hill the last 2 seasons and it did'nt hinder McGrady. Kobe on the other hand can't get a W w/out the daddy.And thats not just me saying it Kobe himself said in his interview in this months Slam the "The reason he stays in LA is because Shaq gets him jewelry (Ie. Champ Rings) that were he to leave LA he could still get 30 on any teams,But could'nt win a championship w/out Shaq.The world knows it, Kobe knows it.Why do you not believe it?

    Shooting % does mean something when you also have a higher points per game average.

    nikobe has got to be the biggest moron I've ever seen, T-mac has been basically playing without Hill for the last 3 years and I wouldn't exactly say he's been 'sytruggling' through those years.

    Oh yeah and Kobe NEVER pads his stats in garbage time. LOL He just puts up numbers while his Lakers get beat by the Warriors.

    I cannot believe this board is still arguing this! I don't know who lives in the Bay Area/has bay are local FSN. but they interviewed john thompson at half time and he settled this argument. They asked John who would you rather have tmac or kobe? Thompson said "I would close my eyes pick one and never worry about the differences between the two" I hate John Thompson but i love that quote.
