This is probably my favorite. Not a Gem or Cameo. I like to think about the path this coin took to get into my hand. The rim ding you see on the lower right is the only ding. Anything else that appears to be a ding is the plastic reflection. Most xf's I've seen are more beat up on the rim's. This coin was offered on e-bay by a private individual about a year and a half ago in a NGC holder, I bought it after the auction closed. I had a free PCGS submission so I got this to cross. It's a vf20....

All I see for the obverse is a red x also, the reverse started out as a red x but eventually showed up.

really it would weigh the same as 2 $20 gold coins plus 1 $10 gold coin. Rich state employee's like myself use something like this for a paper weight

The reverse looks like a BIG fingerprint. Is that why it is in a pcgs slab?

Your comment about EF coins being more chewed up than this one is very valid. Gold is quite soft and these were not exactly issued and/or used in areas with good transport systems. The coin appears to have a beautiful, deep patina such as an uncleaned coin will have. Either that, or the impurities in the metal when struck have aged very nicely. I like it very much!
