SUBMISSION QUESTION. RE: FREE QUARTERLY

I'm getting ready to submit some coins and for once I have a coin to submit for the free quarterly deal. Do I have to put the coin on a separate invoice AND pay an extra return shipping fee? Or can I just put it on the same invoice with the other coins? If it is the latter, how do I designate that it is the free quarterly submission?

Thanks in advance.

  • what is the free quarterly deal?
HAVE A GREAT DAY! THE CHOICE IS YOURS!!!!
  • Actually it does not have to be on a seperate invoice. Just mark it as a free coin on any invoice that you include it in.

    "Hello All,

    Just to clear thing up.

You can include the free quarterly coin with other coins on a submission form, as long as all the coins are for the same type of service. The service is the Regular $30.00 service.

Please clearly mark the coin. I would like for it to be the last coin on the form and write “free Quarterly Coin” below it.

Please let me know if there are any more questions.

I just sent a 2002-P Sac in for free grading. put it on same form, last line and marked it "special of quarter". about 15 minutes after mailing it realized I sent them in under $10 modern service image they'll probably put it on another form and charge me $14 instead of $10 extra, or something. Never would of sent that coin in if it wasn't free, however. Oh well, more wasted money image I'm gonna have to stop doing that.

Here we go again. Yes, you can include it on an invoice with other coins, per Rick, who is no longer with PCGS, but, if you follow the instructions regarding free submissions (usually made available with membership materials) or the hard copy of the quarterly (where the quarterly submission used to be publicized), it's supposed to be on a separate invoice. Generally, it has to do with type of service and turn around time, and I imagine it also helps with the paperwork trail.

Here's the thread where special was announced. I didn't get any instructions about it with my $99 club membership, and don't even know what the quarterly is. So that's the only reliable info I've received thus far (did leave question about in Q&A tho, if it ever gets answered.)
  • Thanks to all that responded to my question.

    Crito,

You went above and beyond the call of duty. A special thanks and a Gold Star to you! (I have to ask what is with the bottle of Liver of Sulphur though? Are you playing Dr. Frankenstein and creating Monsters?)

Okay, I'm still no quite sure of this. A Sac is a $10 Modern submission, therefore do I have to send in a invoice for Regular service to get a $10 free grading? That doesn't make sense.

Here's my question - Can I submit a Sac for the quarterly and include it in a Modern $10 submission invoice or do I have to spend $30 to get a free $10?

Thanks for any help those may offer.

  • A modern is easy. You can send it with any type of order. So if you send in some pre 64 coins for regualr service then you can include your Sac but not vice versa.
