Welcoming Myself to the Board

Hi Everyone:

As a long time poster to (or is it poser onimage)the set registry board, I have decided to move into the U.S. Coin Forum neighborhood. Frankly, its starting to dry up over there, and I notice many of my former buddies have already arrived here. Also, we get to talk to DH here!! I just hope I came keep up with the speed of posts and wit here!

My collecting interests are mint state Walkers, proof Mercury Dimes, mint state Liberty Nickels, proof Franklins, and 19th and 20th century c/n/s type. I am an unapologetic cheerleader for the hobby, certified coins, PCGS, the set registry, David Hall, BJ, Wondercoin.image, reputable dealers everywhere, and top drawer collectors.

I pledge not to engage in personal attacks on anyone here. I will however give my frank opinions pro and con on coin related issues.

Will post my first virgin thread on a coin issue in a few minutes.

Looking forward to jousting with all my new friendsimage, and engaging in overstatement and pig-headed opinion.

Cheers

Greg Samorajski

I didn't know that there was anyone with 1000+ posts who would be considered a rookie on the coin forum. Greg, you have showed tremendous restraint. We already know you as a gentleman, Greg. Your welcome is a given.
  • Greg,

Welcome, and I am sure we will chat in the future.

In the true spirit of the U.S. Coin board, let me welcome you abroad by suggesting that you drop dead!! imageimageimageimageimage

More seriously, I never realized that you were posting only on the registry board. I guess that's because I always found your posts to be good and interesting and so didn't have to wonder "why is he (or she) saying that???" I'm pleased you'll post here, too, especially if this means more posts from you!

    Greg,

    Glad you're here.

I do have, what might be some bad news for you, though - only people who have been posting HERE regularly are currently allowed to have dialogue with Mr. Hall. For people such as yourself, there is a "minimum 30 day US Coin Forum waiting period" requirement - sorry. Oh, and that's only if we really like you.image

Welcome, Typetone. Impressive lineup of interests you have there.

New collectors, please educate yourself before spending money on coins; there are people who believe that using numismatic knowledge to rip the naïve is what this hobby is all about.

    DCAM:

It's not the most complete Mercury Dime set, just the highest average gradedimage, last time I looked. And Keith, it's collector not veteran please. I have the key to the new top floor rest-room. And Mark, no talking to a customer badly.

    Cheers

Welcome back Greg. I haven't read much on the registry forum lately, so what happened to your Ikes. Do you still have/collect them?
