Ebay coin returned

I have just received a coin back from a buyer. The coin sold for over
$800. What is Ebays policy on this? Can I get my fees back?

You can get a credit for the "final value fee," but not for the listing fees. You have to file a "non-paying bidder" report and explain on the drop down menu that the coin was returned and all money refunded.

Yes, you can. First you have to go to Services at the top of the Ebay page. Then, click on Buying & Selling. Then go down the page and click on Request final value fee credit. Your listing fee is lost. Good luck!

Ebay dis-envolves itself after the auction transaction has taken place. They only reimburse fees for transactions that could not complete initially due to fraud, non-payment, and other things they've stated. If you have a coin returned to you, they consider that to be an issue of customer service and not of a contractual completion. Sorry.

Ursabear- You are not correct. After completing the request for the final value fee credit, listing the coin as returned and a refund provided, the credit is automatic and immediate. No negotiation required.

Now the listing fee is lost forever.

Like others said, you can get back the final value fee, but NOT the listing fee or billpoint/paypal fees. A few bucks may not seem like a big deal on a $800 coin, but on a $10-$20 coin that can add up to 10% of the sale.
