Hi Everyone.
I have been reading these forums for about 2 months and have found them to be very informative
not to mention entertaining. I decided it was time to join in. I have been collecting since I was a child , my first cards were 71 - 72 OPC hockey. I now collect mainly PSA graded hockey and am currently working on the 62 Parkhurst set in PSA 8 or better. The set contains just 56 cards and I find it a large enough project for my first graded set. I am blown away at some of the collectors here that work on graded sets with as many as 700 cards . That is truly an impressive feat. I realize that we hockey collectors are a minority on these boards but I find the knowledge which is shared here very valuable regardless of the sport you collect. Very impressed with several members in particular. " Brucemo " the time you take to share and post certain links to help others with their collections is truly admirable. Also impressed with Dan Markel ( dude ) and Jay ( quality cards ) their knowledge seems endless. I really enjoy the posts of Zardoz and Gemmintman who provided us with weeks
of Kellogg's ( did I spell " it " correctly ) madness. They even went as far as having their own contest
and gave away cards in the interest of what they collect. Truly rare in these days of me, myself and I.
These are people who truly put the best interest of the hobby at the forefront. Nice to see some fellow Canadians on here as well. There are many, many others on here who I am equally impressed with.
I will look forward to sharing my opinions in the future.

Welcome to the boards. I just started picking up a hockey card here and there. My favorite is Bobby Orr. I am originally from the Boston area and enjoyed watching Orr play at the old Boston Garden. Enjoy all these knowledgable people here.

I also like to read the threads here, your right about there not being many hockey
collectors here but there are some. I mostly collect vintage baseball and some football
cards. I'm not real into hockey but I like to go to a game time to time it so much more
fun in person than watching it on TV.
Hello Rob and welcome to the board!!!
These guys are always knowledgeable...sometimes irritating....but never boring!!!!
You'll learn a thing or two hanging around these parts!
(Now, if you could just send some of that real good maple syrup to all the board members, you'll fit in just fine!)
WELCOME!!!
Larry.
