Any Canadian Experts ?

I have 4 Canadian 5 cent pieces (1892, 1902 H, 1905 and 1917). On three of the 4 the orientation of the obverse and reverse is just like a US coin - upside down in relation to each other. On the 1917 piece the orientation is the same on both sides so instead of flipping it bottom to top to see the other side you would flip it from right to left. Is this just the way they were made or is it a possible error ?

Silver 5 cent pieces have the medallic orientation from 1908 to 1921. Yours is normal.
