COINS AND...

On a lighter note, I am considering doing a vignette for The Numismatist on how some coin dealers make ends meet when coins aren't selling. While coins and stamps, collectibles, jewelry and bullion are all common, other combinations aren't and often provide no small degree of amusement. A few companies of my acquaintance are: D & J Coins and Leather Goods, The Shoe Box (coins and, yes, shoes!), and Kelly's Coins and Computers.

Do you have any other combinations to share?

What else but coins and golf supplies? Coin dealers have to do something on Mondays. My local dealer sells used clubs, pictures, autographed items, etc. having to do with golf. He also plays every Monday.

The one and only coin dealer in town is called Duluth Coin & Stamp. However, he doesn't sell any stamps. But instead, he buys and sells antique clocks and wooden ships. Also, he buys and sells rocks and gemstones on the side.
