Why aren't my coins graded?

This strikes me as weird. I sent in 2 invoices, one Modern and one Regular ( not economy). They were sent in the same box and show the same receive date etc. on the status webpage. My moderns were done today, but not my "older" coins that I paid $30 a piece to be graded.

I thought that Rick montgomery said that Moderns and Regular submissions were placed in the same "queue" and that is why moderns only take as long as the more expensive Regular submissions.

I want to see my grades....waaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhh image

You are lucky they own up to having your coins. I shipped some out and they were signed for by PCGS on the 18th of Oct. However they cannot find my coins or Invoice. I Emailed and Telephoned and the only response is we cant find them but we will look for them.

Yeah Ed, you may have to go "PCGS LOST MY COINS" soon. Hope they weren't anything difficult to replace or should I say, they'll find them.

  • I have faith in PCGS my coins are there somewhere all 37 of them. Maybe when they find them and grade them they will take into account they were lost XX number of days and grade accordingly. image

    Greg,

It happens all the time; nothing to panic about. I've had as many as five submissions of the same category hit on the same day, and end up with five different completion dates. There's no rhyme or reason to it. I've even had an economy and a modern hit on the same day, and the economy got done first.

Consider yourself lucky. They sat on one of mine for over 3 months; more than a month of that in their frickin shipping office. To top it off they didn't do what I asked but kept my submission fee and charged me $14 to send the SOB back separately when they could have sent it back with another order. If they can't or won't honor your request for service they should return your coin and your fee pronto IMHO.
