I need to make some money...

I'm getting a job in December, when I turn 16. So don't reply saying "get a job." (Some still will. image) But I wanted to buy a box of 00' Topps Finest and I foudn one on eBay for $26 + s/h. So would someone buy something from me? OR many people buy stuff? PLMK! Thanks.

  • I'm not paypal verified, i think thats what its called.
  • i dont think you have to be verified, you just need an account. do you mean that you dont have an account with them at all? All you need is your checking or savings account #

  • do u have to pay for paypal?
  • Sort of, they take money from the person who is receiving it. For example someone recently paid me like $84 thru paypal and I got like $81.50 of actual money in my account. They charge a base fee of like .30 and then a %tage of the amount sent

  • You don't have to pay for PayPal unless you accept credit card payments (premier account)... if you do there's a little bit taken off of every time you're sent something even if it wasn't off of a credit card. That's why I accept PayPal but not credit cards used via PayPal.

  • No, you have to pay for paypal no matter what by having money taken out when you receive it. I send payments that came through my bank account and others have also done the same thing and you always get charged.

  • BigShane why don't you just join Ebay and open a Paypal account?? Borrow your parents credit card if you don't have one and pay them the cash you'd charge on their card. You're going to eventually open and Ebay and PayPal account anyways, why not do it now??

  • I have an Ebay account. No one in my household has a credit card. Otherwise I would have gotten to it already image But I'm getting a saving account soon, then I will be bale to take paypal. Does it go straight to my back account then? Or what?

  • When you join PayPal you have the option of putting money from your Bank account into your PayPal account. Once money is in your PayPal account you can make purchases with PayPal from merchants who accept it. If you sell something on Ebay and someone pays you with PayPal it goes directly into your PayPal account. If you ever want to empty your PayPal account you can request a check from PayPal ( I think this takes a week of more to recieve ) or you can directly transfer the funds to the Bank account that you signed up with.

    Hope this helps!

  • Yea, the only charges that you get are them taking a small percentage of money that is sent to you. Otherwise, if you just operate it by using your bank account to put money in and then using the direct transfer to put money from your paypal account back into your bank account, its all free. I have no idea why people want checks. If im not mistaken they charge you for them plus it takes a week or so to get to yuo and then you have to wait for the check to clear. Makes no sense to me, its alot easier to just send $40 or whatever through paypal directly to your bank account

  • you dont have to wait for a check to clear if you cash it do you? i might as my parents if i can open upan ebay seller account and paypal account

  • No you shouldn't have to wait but, like someone else said, it is rather pointless. They charge a small fee for the check and you have to wait a week or more for it to arrive. I believe it only takes 1 day when you transfer the money from PayPal directly to the Bank account you signed up with to clear. Why pay for a check when a transfer is faster and free.

  • actually, it takes 3-4 business days. But yea, it is pointless. I mean they charge you a fee, wait for it to arrive (and who knows it may take longer depending on demand and what the PO is doing), then ya have to find time and go take it into the bank. Just alot of hassle that you dont need. Much easier to click a button, then one day its just in your account. I have no clue why paypal offers that check service, it is stupid.

  • it costs me 0$ to cash a check
  • Kool, what I meant was they charge you for the check, paypal does. Banks dont charge you for cashing checks
