Rip-Offs and Scams. What's your story?

I know we've all fell prey to an overgraded coin or two (or three!), but have you been the victim of a total Scam? A Rip-Off where no could have seen it coming (or, in hindsight, maybe you could?).
What was the end result and how long did it take you to trust, if you ever will again, the "Coin Industry"?

Yea, but I don't deal with that dealer any longer PERIOD. When I get ripped off and there is no resolution, I simply won't give that dealer any more business. That goes for resturants, car dealers, etc. I hold a grudge forever. Treat me fairly and you have a devout customer for life.

  • Orlandocoin on ebay, my first coin purchase. ms-70 SAE graded by pci (i didnt know). They claimed it was "flawless and perfect" when I received the coin it had a punch mark on the left breast that could be seen from 20 feet away. Lesson learned. Study a little before you spend money online.

I had e-bay buyers claim items didn't arrive. Funny, when I tell them they will need to sign the postal claim form before I provide a refund, the item mysteriously arrives that very next day!
