i had a MJ rookie in my hands back in 93 i could have bought for like 200 but i didnt do it, didnt have the cash..... was real good friends with the guy that owned the shop, but live and learn, lol

well...ive picked up some great things at shows...however the most expensive card ive ever owned is a joe dimaggio auto /50 bv 800 at the time...suhhhhhhweet lol

1953 Topps #82 Mickey Mantle bv $3,000

(it runs in the family... Mickey is my 3rd cousin... we have a few of his old cards and quite a few autos of him... I only got to meet him once because I was little, like 5 years old)

1948 Leaf Satchell Paige PSA 8, bought it on eBay for a customer $17,500 ( he brought the cash for me to send...I certainly don't have that laying around)...LOL. Certainly was scary holding onto a card that cost more then my car.

an old man that just is senile and crazy has them in a safe in his basement

Nah, I gave most of it away.. But had $5,000 in the bank for backup bills and paid $3,000 for a loaded computer. Gave the rest away to immediate family, etc. I even split up the $5,000 in the bank with my mother (paying off bills).

I held a Jordan rookie, what it was a 6-7 at best so I'd say a Shane Battier black chrome refractor BGS 9, or maybe a Jeter auto'd jersey #d/50 that had the entire MLB patch.

Looks like i'm with the crowd in holding a Fleer MJ rookie. I actually owned it for awhile. Since then i haven't gotten anything within a third of the value. But i'm happy

i know th9is sounds like a lie but its true. when i was about 7-8 i visited the baseball hall of fame. around that area there were tons of card shops. in one of the stores there was a full out glass case with a huge red velet blanket or something, and on a stool in the middle of the case was a Honus Wagner T-206 card. I didnt get to hold it but i was 2 feet away from it.
