I have noticed lately that some comments come via email or personal messages, but seem to be omitted from the forum
is one of you guys or girls or guy that acks like a girl allowed to delete comments?
are we allowed to know who the internet dictator is?
will this, my first post get deleted?
what exactly is going on here, it seems that some are permitted to slam away, while others misteriously disappear
anyone here know the rules and what am i missing ?
thanks

You can go to the "profile" button at the top of the page and turn on "Private Messages". Messages sent that way go directly to the user and aren't displayed on the forums. You can also display your email address in your profile (or not, as you wish).
Those are the ways people can communicate directly.

Welcome to the boards and I hope you have fun and learn a little.

Like Bear said, none of us can edit or delete posts. In fact, if people were having their posts deleted I would expect to see people talking about it. Up until this thread I have never seen anyone say posts were being deleted (other than for vulgarity, of course).

Why the attitude? Is it because you've been led to believe that this forum is the great bugbear of censorship? You seem to indicate that you have evidence of some banishment or punishment being meted out.
Can you cite some specific examples? There is a forum admin, named Carol, who has exercised her authority before. The most recent example that I can recall is when she deleted a thread about a female employee of Collector's Universe because the thread got out of control with salacious commentary.
I think she may also have privately reprimanded someone recently because his behavior was very disruptive.
